Challenge
This Kansas City homeowner had damaged and previously patched drywall around the laundry room washer hookups. The wall needed to be opened up so the damaged material could be properly removed, then rebuilt around the plumbing connections and washer box. Because the repair was located near the window, electrical panel, plumbing, and finished tile floor, the surrounding area also needed to be carefully protected during the work.
Solution

Once the wall cavity was exposed, new drywall was installed around the plumbing and connection box. The new sections were taped, mudded, and feathered into the surrounding wall to create a smooth, even surface. After cleanup, the repaired area was left finished and ready for paint.
