Popcorn Ceiling Drywall Repair & Texture Matching in Lenexa, KS
Challenge
A ceiling in this Lenexa, KS home had multiple damaged and open areas that required drywall repair. Because the surrounding ceiling had an existing popcorn texture, the project involved more than simply closing the openings—the repaired sections also needed to be finished and textured so they would blend with the surrounding ceiling. The room and nearby surfaces also needed to be carefully protected while the repair and texture work was completed.
Solution
Drywall Doctor set up containment to protect the room before beginning the ceiling repair. Damaged drywall and affected texture were removed as needed, new drywall was installed in the open areas, and the repairs were taped and finished with joint compound. The repaired sections were then prepared and new popcorn texture was applied to blend with the existing ceiling, leaving the previously damaged areas restored and consistent with the surrounding finish.
